NunaMinerals in alliance with Rio Tinto Mining and Exploration
NunaMinerals A/S, the leading mineral exploration company in Greenland, and Rio Tinto Mining and Exploration Ltd. (RT), a wholly owned subsidiary of Rio Tinto plc., one of the world’s largest international mining companies, have signed an alliance agreement for the purpose of mineral exploration in Greenland.

The alliance agreement with RT is consistent with NunaMineral’s partnering strategy whereby our local knowledge and skills combined with RT’s skills and experience creates an effective explorer in one of the last, under-explored frontiers in the world.
“NunaMinerals’ strength is identification of excellent new exploration plays in Greenland and our staff has shown their capacity by delivering excellent results from grassroots activities the last several years", says Anton Christoffersen, chairman of NunaMinerals.
The alliance will focus on “greenfield” projects that could be added to RT’s exploration portfolio. I believe that this joint effort will increase Greenland’s resource base and that our shareholders will enjoy the fruits of our achievements during the coming years.”
