Alcoa today welcomed the decision taken by the Greenland parliament to advance into a second phase of joint studies with Alcoa into the feasibility of establishing a world class sustainable aluminum industry in Greenland.

Using the partnership with the Joint Committee as a framework, Branding Greenland joined with Greenland Tourist and Business Council, Air Greenland and Greenland Venture to arrange workshops about cruise tourism and investment opportunities in Greenland. The workshops were held in Washington D.C. on May 8th, 2008.

The Greenland cookery book ‘Igaassat’ - recipes, written by Anne Sofie Hardenberg, has won a prestigious international prize. Hardenberg’s cookery book won third prize in the final of a major cookery book competition ‘Gourmand Awards’ in London in April.
