Greenland Today Launches in the United States
Nuuk, GREENLAND -- January 22, 2007
In response to the global attention that has recently been focused on the beautiful, embattled environs of Greenland, publisher Aviaq Mørch today announces the United States launch of the magazine Greenland Today. The quarterly publication will be available for subscription in the United States and will feature articles about Greenlandic news items, social and lifestyle issues, and the changing face of Greenland in the wake of global warming.
Published in Danish and English, Greenland Today launched in Greenland and Denmark in November of 2007. The premier issue features articles about the impact of global warming on Greenland, Matt Lauer's historic trip to the destination, the Siku Extreme Arctic Challenge and the luxurious Hotel Arctic. In addition to in-depth features, the publication also offers unique Greenlandic recipes and stunning photography.
"I have long wanted to bring my beautiful native country into the consciousness of others" said publisher Aviaq Mørch. "With Greenland Today we are able to bring Greenland's rich cultural and environmental landscape to readers across the globe who are interested in this wonderfully beautiful island."
Greenland Today will have a circulation of more than 20,000 worldwide and it is expected that November's issue will be seen by more than 1 million readers in eighteen countries around the globe. The magazine will be published in March, July and November of 2008. American readers interested in subscribing can do so by visiting http://www.greenlandtoday.com/. The publication is available for 124 DKK (approximately $32).
